Before the war started Korea was divided between the south and north after World War II in 1945. On June 25, 1950 the Korean War began when troops from the North invaded the South. By July there were American troops on the South, the invading continued back and forth. People feared that this war would consider more countries and possibly start World War III

Our topic was chosen based on our interest for north and south Korea and their history. We both thought it would be fun to research the Korean war and how it was a huge turning point in taking a stand in history. we both conducted our research with various websites on the internet as lasted in our bibliography. We also used some videos and pictures to get information. We both decided to display this information that we extracted from other websites and videos by creating a website of our own to explain the impact the Korean war had and how it took a stand in history. The Korean war relates to the theme "taking a stand in history" because it took courage and bravery to take a stand in the war to fight so that others can have a chance to live.
